PondRocket is excited to announce a renewed partnership with the USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program. This partnership was conceived to help raise awareness for the USA Warriors Program and generate funds to offset equipment and travel expenses for the organization.
During the months of October and November, PondRocket will be donating 25% of all apparel purchases to the USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program.
The USA Warriors Ice Hockey Program has been organized to operate exclusively for the charitable and educational purposes of the United States Military personnel wounded in defense of the United States of America. The mission is to organize and administer an ice hockey program that provides recreational, therapeutical and educational experiences for its participants.
The Program’s vision is to start teams in cities across the country.
“We started with Walter Reed and Bethesda because so many wounded soldiers are treated here when they return from the war zones,” states Bob Banach, President of the USA Warriors Program. “We also want to branch out across the country to include people who have left the military. They’re back home, back at their jobs, and we’d like them all to be able to play in this program.”
This partnership will assist the USA Warriors with travel and equipment expenses needed to participate in the USA Disabled Hockey Festival taking place in Blaine, MN in April, 2011. To learn more about the USA Warriors or make a direct donation, visit: www.usawarriors.goalline.ca/index.php
